Professional bodybuilder is synonymous to someone who won in bodybuilding competition. Before one is qualified to be a professional bodybuilder, it takes determination and dedication. Additionally, professional bodybuilding is not only for men, but for women as well.

The first bodybuilding competition was organized by Sandow in 1901 in the United Kingdom. Three years after, the first large-scale bodybuilding in America took was held at Madison Square Garden, in New York City. Today, bodybuilding is considered a sport.

Moreover, professional bodybuilding contests allow every bodybuilder to showcase their bodies by performing different poses. Posing routines need months of preparation to master as it will be one the basis aside from balance physique.

Mr. Olympia is the highest award in professional bodybuilding. The competition is held annually by the International Federation of Bodybuilders (IFBB). One of the world’s famous professional bodybuilder is Arnold Swarzenegger who won a total of 7 Mr. Olympia titles.
